Baku – APA. On April 28, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the delegation led by U.S. Congressman from Pennsylvania, member of the Congress’ committees on Armed Services and Transportation Bill Shuster.
APA reports that the delegation includes Republican from New-Jersey, member of committees on Armed Forces, Natural Resources, and Affairs of Veterans affairs John Runyan, Republican from Illinois, member of committees on Energy and Trade Adam Kinzinger, Republican from Wisconsin, member of committee on Financial Services and Economics Sean Duffy, Democrat from Louisiana, member of National Security and Small Business committees Cedric Richmond, Democrat from Connecticut, member of Foreign Relations, Control and Governmental Reforms committees Chris Murphy.
An exchange of views on the current state and prospects of various fields of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the United States, including energy cooperation took place at the meeting. The Azerbaijan’s participation in peace-keeping mission in Afghanistan and its contributions to the implementation of the international anti-terror operation and as well as regional issues were also mentioned during the talks.
