The individuals who nominated their candidatures for MPs must pay attention to the authenticity of the submitted documents, Mazahir Panahov, the chairman of the Azerbaijani Central Election Commission (CEC) said at a meeting Oct. 10.

Panahov was commenting on the refusal from registering the candidacy because of incorrect information about the property.

Panahov said that this issue is very sensitive in the world practice and even the most well-known and wealthy people are not forgiven.

As an example, Panahov cited Lionel Messi, who has been accused of tax evasion.
