There are no ethnic problems between Turks and Kurds in Turkey, said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, TRT Haber news channel reported Feb. 24.

He said terrorists have no ethnicity.

“For us there is no difference among the citizens of the country, and terrorism affects all citizens of Turkey,” added Erdogan.

Turkish president also noted that the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is a common problem of the Turks and the Kurds.

The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has continued for over 25 years and claimed more than 40,000 lives.
