An official representation of “the Syrian Kurdistan" can be opened in Russia.
A delegation of Syrian Kurds from "Democratic Unìon" plans to have consultations in the Russian Foreign Ministry on the issue, APA reports quoting “kommersant”. The Kurds believe that the opening of the office will help cooperation between Moscow and the Kurdish autonomy in the fight against the Islamists. The Russian Foreign Ministry did not confirm the information yet.
However, the Turkish diplomatic source said that such a move will cause Ankara's harsh disapproval. Turkey considers the "Democratic Unìon" follower of the ideas of the PKK terrorist organization.
