Azerbaijan`s Elena Vystropova (69kg) has shined in Bucharest to become the first ever Azerbaijani female boxer to claim a gold medal at a European championship, Azertag reports.

She secured the title after defeating Stacey Copeland from the UK.

Other Azerbaijani boxer Leyla Javadova won bronze in the 75kg class after losing to German Sarah Scheurich.
